To help students who have passed SSLC and are unable to do, or have failed, PUC, C S I Hospital has started a course under the affiliation of Karnataka Paramedical Board, Government of Karnataka (Ref PMB/MISC/06-07 dated 16.03.2007).

Accordingly, SSLC passed candidates will be admitted for  3-year MLT, MXT and MRT courses.  Students will be taught English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the 1st year.  Those who pass in the Examination at the end of 1st year will be promoted to the 1st year of the 2-year Diploma of respective courses and treated on par with other 1st year students of the course. 

At the end of 3 years they will get a Diploma in the respective courses, identical with the 2-year Diploma of PUC/+2 passed students.  

However, the SSLC students will not be able to take further/higher training later on, because of not having PUC/+2 qualification.

Medium of instruction is English.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Certificate Course:

• SSLC Pass / equivalent
• Age limit is 15-35 years or upto 40 years for SC / ST candidates
• Other conditions are the same as the Diploma Courses
