John’s Medical College Bangalore and was in its teaching faculty for
12 years before taking up his present position at this institution.

Consultant Urologist, obtained his MBBS in 1984,
MS in 1989 and MCh in 1993. He has held the posts of lecturer in
urology at GMC Calicut and Assistant Professor of Urology at St.
John's Medical College, Bangalore and Associate Professor of Urology
at the Devaraj Urs Medical College Kolar. He is also the consultant
urologist to Chinmaya Hospital and Hosmat. His chief interest is in
the area of prostate surgery, stone surgery and male infertility and
andrology. Dr. Panicker is an active member of the Association of

Dr. Arulmozhi Ramarajan

Head of the
Department, obtained her MBBS degree and MD in ObG from the
Bangalore Medical College. She also has a postgraduate diploma in
legal medicine and ethics (PGDMLE) from the National Law School of
India University. She is a gold medallist of the Bangalore
University for Obstetrics and Gynecology during her MBBS course. She
is a very active member of the Bangalore Society of Obstetrics and
Gynecology (BSOG) and has been its Honorary Secretary for the year
2003. She is also a life member of the Society of Fetal Medicine and
Genetics. She has also served as an executive committee member of
the BSOG. She is the Educational Supervisor and Teacher for the
MRCOG course at this hospital and has participated in several
international, national, state and regional conferences and CMEPs as
a delegate and faculty member.
She has presented many papers and
contributed chapters to the text books published by the Federation
of Obstetrics and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI).

consultant, graduated from Bombay University in the year 1967. After
completing his DCH and MD he spent three years at USA at the Kansas
University Medical Center in Pediatrics Residency, the last year as
Chief Resident. He returned to India in 1976 and worked at CSI
Hospital Bangalore as Pool Officer for three years till 1979.
He rejoined the Hospital in 1990 and has been a part time Senior
Consultant ever since then. He is one of the senior most practicing
pediatricians of Bangalore.
He is an active member of the
Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Bangalore (IAP-Bangalore) and has held
many important posts in it. He was the treasurer of IAP - Bangalore
for many terms and held the post of its President in the year 2002.
He has attended and organized many conferences and CMEPs and was the
treasurer of the National Conference of Pediatrics held at Bangalore
in 2002. He has also given lectures and chaired many sessions in
various conferences and CMEPs.

Medical College. He obtained the Post Graduate Diploma of Child

from Christian Medical College, Vellore. He was awarded the best MD
Pediatrics trainee prize for the year 1993 at CMC Vellore. He is a
full time pediatrician of the hospital and resides in the hospital
campus. He is also a part-time DNB teacher at Bangalore Baptist
Hospital. He is the Vice-President of the Bangalore Branch of the
Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP Bangalore) after having held the
post of its Secretary for two terms. He has given lectures and
chaired scientific sessions at various meetings and conferences of
the IAP at the local, state and national level. He has also been the
organizing secretary of various pediatric conferences in Bangalore.
He is also a life member and an executive committee member of the
Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the Karnataka State Respiratory
Chapter of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics. He has presented a
paper entitled Cardiac Murmurs in the Neonate at the 8th Asian
Congress of Pediatrics at New Delhi in 1994.

Rijhwani MS, FRCS, MCh (Paed Surgery)
Dr. Ashok Rijhwani completed his MBBS at Christian Medical
College, Vellore in the year 1987. He then went on to complete MS in
General Surgery and subsequently MCh in Pediatric Surgery from the
same institution. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of
Surgeons (FRCS) of Edinburgh in General Surgery and a Diplomate of
the National Board (DNB) in Pediatric Surgery. He has worked at the
Department of Paediatric Surgery, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Sheffield, U.K. and
Department of Paediatric Surgery, King’s College Hospital, London, U.K.
He has been in charge of Pediatric Surgery at the CSIH since
November 1994. He is also the Associate Professor and Head of the
Department of Pediatric Surgery at the M.S.Ramaiah Medical College
and Hospital, Bangalore apart from being in charge of Pediatric
Surgery at Mallige Medical Center and Seventh Day Adventist Hospital
at Bangalore
Dr. Rijhwani has extensive experience in Pediatric and
Neonatal Surgery and has performed hundreds of surgeries in children
and neonates. He also performs laparoscopic surgeries. Bronchoscopic
Foreign–Body removal is another area in which he has extensive
experience.
Dr. Rijhwani is also involved in teaching undergraduates,
postgraduates and interns, which includes bedside teaching, lectures
and supervision of minor and major surgical procedures by
Post-graduate trainees in General Surgery.

Anthony has many achievements to his credit. He has invented an

Examination Lamp, Pharyngeal Stent are just a few of the things that
he has designed and manufactured.

Anthony is also a keen sportsman and has won the Gold Medal at the
Intermedics sports at Karnataka State Level and the Silver Medal at
Tamil Nadu in 1986. He has also won the gold and silver medals at
University and college level in 1500, 800, 5000 metres and in long
jump.
